South Island Kokako

The South Island Kokako stares inquisitively from within it's rimu floorboard home.

The aim behind this piece was to juxtapose the safety and security we associate with the home against the probably extinct South Island Kokako who's native bush home offered no protection against introduced predators.

The artwork has been hand drawn by John upon recycled rimu floorboards.  It has been sealed using a matt varnish and comes ready to hang.

Please note this artwork is not intended for outdoor use.

This artwork measures 55cm tall and 45cm wide.
