Fantail with Lichen

Here it is.  John's favourite image of all time. 

It's a special one for a number of reasons.  The original piece of lichen covered timber came from the outside of John's old house giving it a very personal link.  The image was actually the first time John had drawn a fantail that he was pleased with.  The original piece of art featured in John's first ever exhibition and it sold before he'd had a chance to display it on the wall.

The original image of the Fantail has been created using chalk and charcoal upon a rustic reclaimed piece of macrocarpa timber.

The digital image sits within a white border on the page.  These high quality reproductions are all printed locally within New Zealand, and come with a backing in a protective sleeve.

The artwork in the framed option comes matted within a beautiful rimu stain frame.
